Heat Treatment/ Quench Oil

Heat Treatment is the controlled heating and cooling of metals to alter their physical and mechanical properties without changing the product shape. Heat treatment is sometimes done inadvertently due to manufacturing processes that either heat or cool the metal such as welding or forming. The heat-treatment gives the required hardness & homogeneity of microstructure to attain maximum strength & durability in compliance with material used. This is widely used for hardening stress relieving and normalizing. The most critical elements during heat treatment is accuracy of temperature and time.

Characteristics of Heat Treatment

  • High durability
  • High efficiency
  • Sturdy construction
  • Smooth operation
  • Low cost

Applications of Heat Treatment

  • Bonding
  • Brazing
  • Welding
  • Forging
  • Melting
